Jacksonville, FL- September 19, 2014 – The Stuttgart Cup/Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy head to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for a sprint and enduro race double-header at the Mid-Ohio Historics on September 19-20, 2014.
The two Porsche based-series will race at Mid-Ohio for the first time in history for the fourth round of the Stuttgart Cup and Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy.
The weekend will include practice and qualifying sessions on Friday, September 19. The field will take to the grid on Saturday, September 20 for a second practice session followed by a sprint race at 2:00 PM. The weekend concludes on Saturday with one enduro with a mandatory pit stop at 3:30 pm.
The Stuttgart Cup entrants include many notable competitors.
Past Cayman Interseries Champion Mark Sandridge will be making his Stuttgart Cup return this weekend in his red and white liveried Cayman S.
Ron Rashinski, who captured a podium finish at the Autobahn Country Club, will be in attendance driving his beautiful No. 6 blue and yellow Cayman S that wears the livery of the Sunoco/Penske Porsche 917-30 seeking a podium performance.
Rodrigo Sales, who made an impressive Stuttgart Cup debut at the Mitty at Road Atlanta and captured his preliminary win at the Autobahn Country Club returns in his No. 88 Jägermeister inspired Porsche Cayman S.
The Stuttgart Cup veteran Robert Schneider will bring his beautiful No. 40 Cayman S that wears the Martini stripes of the famous Porsche 935. Schneider is no stranger to The Stuttgart Cup podium and will be seeking to clinch another victory this weekend.
Points leader Bill Riddell has captured three wins six podiums in 2014 and looks to capture another victory in his black and white striped No. 05 Porsche Cayman S.

About The Stuttgart Cup/Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy:
Both The Stuttgart Cup™ and the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo are managed by Americas Cup GT L.L.C. Both championships are sprint and endurance series with The Stuttgart Cup™ open to all Porsche Caymans and Boxsters and Mission Foods GT3 open to all 2000 and later Porsche 911 GT3s and related models. Rules for both series are centered on power to weight ratio. All competing Stuttgart Cup cars must compete with stock make and model engine and transmissions with approved allowances for exhaust and intake modifications. Stuttgart Cup organizers also welcome all competitors with existing race-prepared Caymans or Boxsters to compete with body and engine modifications balanced within series power to weight ratio parameters. All such competitors will not be eligible for championship points or class-designated race wins, but the door is always open to all Cayman and Boxster competitors to get in on the action.
