HOMESTEAD, Florida (April 12, 2015) – Five drivers from three different teams won races this weekend in The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo series competition at the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) Miami Historics at Homestead Miami Speedway, April 9 – 12.

homestead stuttgart cup winnersDominique LeQueux, Ed Lane and Bill Riddell evenly split the weekend’s three Stuttgart Cup races, which included sprints on Friday and Saturday and a one-hour enduro Sunday morning.

LeQueux, driving his red and yellow Goldcrest Motorsports No. 30 Cayman S that carries a livery reminiscent of the Gianpiero Moretti MOMO Porsche 935s and 962s, won Friday’s 12-lap sprint. LeQueux has scored at least one race victory, all sprints, in each of the year’s opening events at the Palm Beach Grand Prix, 12 Hours of Sebring and Miami Historics.

Lane, returning to Cayman competition for the first time in several seasons, made a last-lap pass to win Saturday’s 25-lap sprint. The victory came in Lane’s Stuttgart Cup debut and first race in his recently purchased blue and white No. 14 Cayman S that is modeled after the famous Lowenbrau/Al Holbert Racing Porsche 962s and prepared by the 901 Shop.

Sunday’s one-hour race went to two-time and reigning Stuttgart Cup Champion Riddell in his flat-black and white-striped No. 05 Cayman S modeled after the prototype Porsche 918 race car. Driving for his own Racelink team, Riddell scored his first enduro victory of the year and second win of the season after also capturing a Sebring sprint race.

Mission Foods GT3 Cup competitors shared the track with The Stuttgart Cup™ all weekend. Mark Greenberg scored the overall victory in all three races and took 4-liter class honors in his No. 77 Orbit Racing/NETTTs Porsche GT3 Cup.

stuttgartcup trophyProfessional Orbit Racing driver and coach Lonnie Pechnik co-drove the No. 77 in the enduro to help Greenberg earn his second sweep of the season after also winning all three weekend races in February’s season-opening Palm Beach event.

Not to be outdone, Juan Lopez-Santini turned in his own triple sweep in the 3.8-liter class in his No. 810 Porsche GT3 Cup prepared by the 901 Shop. Santini finished second overall in all three races and also edged Greenberg for the overall GT3 division pole position in Saturday qualifying.

Longtime Cayman competitor Mark Sandridge debuted his new Porsche GT3 Cup at Homestead, which runs with the livery of the Le Mans-winning No. 25 Porsche 911 GT1. Sandridge, co-driving with coach and pro driver Joe Varde in the enduro, finished third in each of the weekend’s three races.

The weekend’s other podium-placing driver was Stuttgart Cup competitor Rick Stavola who finished second to Lane, and one spot ahead of LeQueux, in Saturday’s race. Leading or running in the lead pack in every race in his No. 22 Bodymotion Cayman S prepared this weekend by Racelink, Stavola finished third in the other two races, both times sharing the podium with LeQueux and Riddell. LeQueux finished second in the Sunday enduro while Riddell took runner-up honors in Friday’s opening race.
